About Me
Hello all, my name is Natasha Pierre-Louis. To start off, I am a Graphic Designer. I almost hesitated to say that, because I don’t always feel like one. I mean, yes, I do have a Bachelors in Graphic Design. However, since I graduated in 2003, I haven’t done any real print design type of work, in exception for maybe one magazine ad which I didn’t keep a copy of before I quit my last gig. Most of my jobs have been web positions such as Webmaster, Web developer and some Web Design. And I don’t care what anyone thinks, but when you’re designing crappy looking sites for clients that don’t want to hear your input, then it’s not real design.
I am also a proud member of a virtual world called “Second Life” which I’ll call SL for short. In case you’re not aware of what it is, SL is a 3d virtual environment that is free to join. Unlike many other virtual environments, SL is pretty much built by its members, so you never know what you’ll discover there. Many businesses, are using SL as a way to reach new audiences. About Natasha’s World
Once upon a time, I had a blog. However, life was very different for me in those days. I was a very active Christian and most of the time it felt like all eyes from the church were on me. I had a very difficult time expressing myself without feeling the need to censor what I had to say. Well, that was then. Although I respect the bible, accept who Jesus is and agree with his teachings, I no longer consider myself a Christian. The title “Christian” comes with too many rules and dogmas that can get really heavy really fast. As a result, I finally have more freedom to make Natasha’s World a place where I can share whatever thoughts and question I choose, as apposed to some.
Natasha’s World is also going to be semi-video blog or semi-vlog. I’m a little camera shy, so I’m not sure how many videos I’ll post. Yet, I find it so much easier to talk in front of a camera rather then typing. My brain tends to go 1000 miles a minute, and half the time my fingers just can’t keep up. Anyways, I’m getting tired of typing, so I’ll stop here. If there’s anything you want to know, feel free to ask. I don’t guarantee I’ll give you an answer, but I’ll be nice about it.
